The personalized baby t-shirt is a miniature but demanding textile medium, where the quality of the material, the safety of the marking, and the precision of the finishes must be impeccable. Made of combed cotton, often organic, with a weight around 180 to 200 g/m² to ensure both softness and durability, it is designed to withstand repeated washing without shrinking or deforming. The round neckline, widened or with snap buttons on the shoulder, makes dressing easier without forcing over the head, and the seams are flat, reinforced, to avoid any rubbing or discomfort. The visual must be reduced to the essential: a pattern too large loses all readability on a size 6 or 12 months, a detail too fine visually fades or blends into the fabric fibers. Water-based ink screen printing is recommended for simple and stable flat colors; thermal transfer can be used at low temperature but must remain flexible and certified without harmful substances. Embroidery is to be avoided, as it stiffens the fabric and hinders comfort. The positioning of the marking is generally done in the center of the chest or slightly offset to the heart side, avoiding seams and fold areas. The label, often replaced by a print in the collar, prevents any irritation. The choice of colors favors pastel, white, or heather tones, but insufficient contrast quickly renders the logo unreadable. Some models incorporate discreet details such as contrasting topstitching, a rounded hem, or a colored clean strip. The packaging must be neat and consistent with the target: transparent bag, cotton ribbon, cardboard pouch. The well-thought-out personalized baby t-shirt is not a miniature derivative of adult textiles, but a garment in its own right, with high frequency of use, exposed to sight and touch, in which the marking, material, and cut must compose a simple, stable, soft, and safe whole.
