The custom pocket mirror, although extremely compact, requires meticulous attention in the selection of materials, the quality of the opening system, and the available marking surface. It generally consists of a rigid case — made of ABS plastic, anodized aluminum, chrome-plated metal, or rigid faux leather — containing one or two mirrors, one normal and the other magnifying, depending on the model. The diameter or width varies between 60 and 75 mm for round or square versions, which naturally limits the useful space for customization. On metal models, laser engraving allows for a clean, indelible finish, often favored for a sober and elegant result; on plastic or faux versions, pad printing or resin doming predominates, provided there is impeccable centering and well-managed contrast. The promotional mirror, in contact with hands, bags, and pockets, must resist micro-scratches, accidental pressures, and repeated rubbing. A cover that is too loose opens on its own, a click system that is too firm becomes unpleasant to use; the balance is played out at the level of the spring, invisible but central to the perceived quality. Inside, the mirror glass must be perfectly adhered, without any wave effect, misalignment, or distorted reflection — a detail often overlooked but decisive in use. Some models open flat, others at a 90° angle; it is then necessary to anticipate the direction of the marking to avoid inversion or poor readability once opened. The weight, often around 40 to 80 grams, gives a feeling of solidity or fragility depending on the materials used. The exterior finish — matte, glossy, grained, soft to the touch — influences the longevity of the logo, especially if the object is handled frequently. The custom pocket mirror is often handed over or slipped into a box: the packaging, in a suede pouch, cardboard box, or rigid case, then becomes an extension of the message. It is neither a gadget nor a cosmetic derivative: it is a functional, everyday, personal object where the brand image must remain intact despite wear, in a compact but demanding format.
