The customized cooler bag is a flexible or semi-rigid container designed to maintain the temperature of food or beverages during transport, with customization done on the exterior surface of the bag, always outside the stitching or folding areas. Classic models are made from 210D, 600D polyester, or RPET (recycled polyester), with an interior of 2 to 6 mm thick expanded PE foam, lined with an aluminum or food-grade PEVA thermal film, ensuring passive thermal insulation between 2 and 6 hours depending on the volume, fill rate, and external conditions. The most common format is the lunch bag type, measuring 20 × 15 × 15 cm, but larger versions exist (28 × 22 × 20 cm for 12 liters, or up to 30 liters for picnic or professional models). Advertising branding is done by screen printing, quad transfer, or direct digital printing, with a usable surface of 100 × 80 mm on the front or on top of the flap. On 600D textile, the branding is sharp and precise but requires controlled heat treatment to avoid burns to the internal film. On laminated kraft paper or laminated cotton models, customization must be adapted to the semi-rigid and low-absorbent surface. The closure system is a double zipper or Velcro, with a sewn textile handle or an adjustable shoulder strap, sometimes clip-on to a backpack. The interior must be waterproof, with heat-welded or bound seams to prevent leakage. Some models include a non-insulated outer pocket for cutlery or cooling gels. The empty weight ranges from 120 g (small flexible models) to 500 g (reinforced wall models). Premium versions may integrate internal dividers, a rigid bottom plate, or a magnetic closure top access. Thermal performance testing is measured in conservation range (0–6 °C for cold, >60 °C for hot) and average loss per hour at room temperature. A good cooler bag maintains a stable temperature for at least 3 hours without an ice pack, does not leave moisture outside, and withstands 500 opening/closing cycles without deformation of the closure or delamination of the internal film. The branding should remain legible after rubbing, condensation, and damp cleaning. Packaging is done flat or partially folded, in individual bags or grouped cartons. A poorly designed bag shows rapid signs of wear: breaking zipper, tearing aluminum film, loose stitching, or peeling logo. A well-made cooler bag remains functional, clean, compact, ergonomic, and carries clear, durable, and proportionate customization to the product's visible surface.
