Custom sunglasses are both a visual medium and an identity tool, designed to combine eye protection and brand promotion in a summer, event, or corporate context. They are made from polycarbonate, injected plastic, or bio-based materials depending on the range, with rigid frames, sometimes flexible, designed to withstand repeated outdoor use. The lenses are tinted acrylic, polarized or not, with a mandatory UV400 filter, ensuring protection against UVA and UVB. The frame structure — thick temples, adjustable nose bridge, metal or clip hinges — must provide both comfort and support, even during sudden movements or under the effect of heat. The shapes vary according to the models: classic Wayfarer, vintage round, sporty rectangular, with sizes designed to fit the largest number of people. Custom marking is mainly done on the temples, in one or two-color pad printing, or digital printing for large series, sometimes even laser engraving on bamboo or metal frames. The logo must remain discreet but readable, placed to remain visible when the glasses are worn or placed. Unlike a static object, sunglasses are constantly in motion: on the eyes, on the head, attached to a shirt, or stored in a case — they travel with the user and become a visual extension of the brand image. The advertising model must therefore be light, stable, pleasant to wear, without lens distortion or excessive tension on the temples. Some versions include anti-reflective treatment, a mirror effect, or a hydrophobic coating, enhancing their real utility beyond just an accessory. They are often delivered in bulk, in individual pouches, or in a soft or hard case that can also be customized. In a distribution context on the beach, at fairs, festivals, or sporting events, they fulfill a dual function: immediate protection and lasting visibility. They are kept, forgotten in a car, lent, photographed. The name affixed becomes secondarily a marker, a memory, a signature linked to a lived moment. And it is precisely this place at the frontier between function and style that makes custom sunglasses so effective: they are seen, worn, placed, taken — they travel further than the moment they are handed over.
