Outdoor thermometer with personalization

The personalized outdoor thermometer is an analog or digital measuring instrument designed to display the ambient temperature on a facade, window, partition, or wall support, with a surface clearly defined on the casing for advertising marking. The standard format varies between 15 and 30 cm in height for vertical models, with a width of 3 to 6 cm and a thickness of 0.8 to 2 cm depending on the materials. The marking is done on the front facade of the casing, below the temperature scale or at its base, by tampography or UV printing on ABS, rigid PVC, aluminum, or plexiglass, with an exploitable surface of 40 × 20 mm to 70 × 30 mm depending on the model. The measurement scale is printed or screen-printed in °C, sometimes in °C/°F dual reading, graduated from -30 °C to +50 °C for classic models. The liquid used in the capillary is alcohol-based (blue, red, or green), mercury-free, compliant with European directives on chemical substances (REACH, RoHS). The capillary tube is inserted into a central gutter, sometimes fixed at the back, and held in place by two clips or ultrasonically spot-welded. The wall models are drilled or delivered with high-strength double-sided adhesive, screwing, or suction cup support for windows. The advertising outdoor thermometer must be readable from more than 2 meters away, with numbers printed in black or red on a white, matte, or slightly satin background to avoid reflections. Some models include an adjustable mounting tab or a right-angle frame for mounting on a window frame, with a rotating scale allowing reading from the inside. The digital versions use an external wired probe or a radio sensor with LCD display, but are rarely customizable on the surface outside of the packaging or removable support. The marking is UV, water, and temperature variation resistant, notably via a transparent protective varnish or underlayer printing. The quality test includes a reading accuracy check (+/-1 °C), the resistance of the fixings outdoors (hygrometric variation), and the stability of the capillary tube after freeze/thaw cycles. The packaging is done in a cardboard case, blister pack, or individual pouch, with an insertable label or visual for additional customization. A poor product has poor readability, a misaligned tube, a casing that warps under heat, or a marking that fades in the sun. A good thermometer remains stable, well-calibrated, visible in all conditions, and clearly displays a sharp, centered, and durable customization on the body of the casing.
