The customized insulated backpack is defined as a dual-function textile solution, serving both as a transport container and a refrigerated compartment, designed to preserve the temperature of food or drinks while ensuring carrying comfort, durability, and brand visibility. Made from technical materials — coated 600D polyester, waterproof oxford fabric, laminated RPET, or reinforced PVC — it is internally lined with an insulating layer, usually of PE foam or EPE foam, combined with an aluminum or food-grade PEVA lining that reflects cold and prevents thermal exchange. This multilayer structure forms a flexible yet airtight inner chamber, capable of maintaining a cool (or warm) temperature for several hours, depending on the external conditions and the amount of ice or cooling packs used. The main opening, often zippered on the top or front, is designed to minimize losses: double slider closure, reinforced flap, secondary hook-and-loop strips, or clip systems depending on the model. The insulated backpack also stands out for its portability: the adjustable and padded straps allow for comfortable hands-free transport, even when filled, while the padded back absorbs the weight of the contents and limits back heating. Some models include a chest strap or a reinforced top handle for hand carrying. Capacity varies between 10 and 30 liters, but remains focused around a single large insulated compartment, sometimes complemented by a front pocket for dry accessories (towels, utensils, bottle opener, phone), a mesh side pocket for a water bottle or flask, or even a separate compartment for non-refrigerated foods. Customization is usually placed on the front, above or below the main zip, in a flat area that supports printing well — screen printing, quad transfer, light embroidery depending on the outer material. The marking must withstand moisture, splashes, and friction, as this type of bag is handled, placed, opened, and closed several times a day. The interior, in direct contact with food products, must be easy to clean: the PEVA or aluminum lining can be washed with a sponge or lukewarm water without damage, and the absence of sharp corners or visible seams facilitates maintenance. The promotional insulated backpack finds its relevance in concrete contexts: picnics, lunch breaks on the go, transport of fresh products, outdoor events, short-distance delivery, summer team building. It offers continuous visibility, outdoors, in prolonged use, which enhances the impact of the marking without multiplying contact points. Some models include a rigid or non-slip base, an independent upper compartment, or an optimized vertical construction to hold bottles upright. Despite its apparent simplicity, this type of bag requires rigorous technical assembly to maintain thermal performance: seams must be watertight, materials non-absorbent, and the whole sufficiently lightweight to remain comfortable even when full. The empty weight is generally kept between 400 and 900 grams, depending on the reinforcements and options. Well-designed, the customized insulated backpack becomes a regularly used, functional, and rewarding object, combining visual presence, practical service, and textile longevity in a single support.
