The custom flag is designed to be seen from afar, read in motion, and understood in an instant. Every element counts: the weave of the fabric, the density of the colors, the sharpness of the outlines, the resistance to weather. This is not a generic medium but a vertical or horizontal format intended to flutter, flap, and catch the eye in an often visually cluttered environment. It is distinguished by its material – 115 g/m² polyester with through-printing, blocked mesh to prevent tearing, or open mesh fabric for better wind resistance – and its shape: straight, drop, rectangular, flame, or sail.
Printing is generally done with thermal sublimation, allowing for optimal color fidelity and good UV resistance. The assembly varies according to use: reinforced hem on the edges, polyester strap, stainless eyelets, side sleeve for telescopic pole, or carabiner attachment. We are not talking about a simple tarp or advertising textile: the flag meets constraints of height, tension, flexibility, and readability at height, even when partially wrapped by the wind. It accompanies a facade, signals an entrance, marks a stand, but remains discreet when needed, folding without creasing. Customization must be calibrated: centered logo, enlarged lettering, contrasted background, concise message. Too much information hampers readability.
This medium demands a refined visual language, designed for the outdoors, for movement, for distance. It is sometimes delivered with a fiberglass pole, a cross base, a water reservoir, or a metal plate depending on the installation ground. Its maintenance is simple, requiring low-temperature washing and flat drying, without prolonged folding. It can be used temporarily at an event or permanently in front of a building. Some models feature a double-stitched hem or invisible reinforcements for tension areas. A double-sided custom flag can also be chosen, with an opaque black layer in the center, to ensure perfect readability on both sides, without transparency. Unlike other textile supports, it is worn not only by time but by wind, rain, and constant exposure. Hence the importance of good grammage, precise cut, and hem sewn with high-strength polyester thread. The flag is not decorative. It is functional, strategic, and remains in place long after the client has passed, marking a territory, embodying a presence.
