The personalized polo is defined as a textile garment halfway between a t-shirt and a shirt, designed to offer a structured fit, prolonged comfort, and a marking surface suitable for a sober, elegant, and durable visibility. Crafted in pique knit or jersey depending on the desired finish, it is generally made of combed cotton or a cotton-polyester blend for a good balance between breathability, wash resistance, and dimensional stability. The weight varies according to the models, from 180 g/m² for a lightweight version to 220 g/m² or more for higher-end polos, ensuring a neat hang, without transparency effect, and good durability. The collar, in ribbed or flat knit, remains the strong visual element of the polo: it structures the silhouette, frames the marking, and retains its shape thanks to reinforced assembly and an inner tape. The button placket, often with two or three buttons, completes the neat appearance of the garment while leaving the possibility to play with the opening according to style or use. The personalized marking can be done in embroidery, screen transfer, or direct printing depending on the material and the desired finish. Embroidery is the most frequently used technique on the polo, particularly at the heart level, as it integrates perfectly into the knit without altering the fabric structure and offers excellent wash resistance. Other areas are also exploitable: sleeve, back, collar placket, or under-collar, depending on the complexity of the visual and the desired effect. The promotional polo is often associated with professional contexts — trade shows, customer reception, catering, logistics, hospitality — where a coherent, neat, and comfortable image is sought without falling into the formality of a shirt. It can be worn alone, layered over a sweatshirt, or integrated into a complete work outfit. The most advanced models offer a fitted or tailored cut, reinforced side slits, offset shoulder seam, or anti-pilling finish. Available in men's, women's, and children's versions, with short or long sleeves, it can also exist in a technical version (breathable polyester for sports use), organic (GOTS certified cotton), or recycled (cotton and polyester from sustainable sources). The personalized polo is a textile that stays in place, is visible without imposing, conveying a visual identity in an accessible and active posture. It is kept, worn, washed, ironed, ready to be reused — far from a simple event t-shirt. It is a garment of image, coherence, and team spirit.
