The customized safety yellow vest is a standardized textile equipment intended for visual signaling in outdoor environments or near traffic lanes, with customization done exclusively on the non-retro-reflective areas of the garment. Made from 120 to 130 g/m² flat-knit polyester, treated to resist pilling and stable when washed, it complies with EN ISO 20471 standard, class 2 for adult sizes. Marking is done by screen transfer, digital printing, or cut flex, applied hot on a flat surface, outside the reflective bands: 90 × 60 mm on the chest side and up to 250 × 180 mm on the back. The vest closes with a velcro strip sewn on the front, at least 5 cm wide, centered to ensure overlap compliant with the standard. The retro-reflective bands, 50 mm wide, are sewn or thermally bonded, made of micro-glass beads encapsulated in a PU base, offering a minimum retroreflection of 330 cd/lux/m². They are positioned horizontally, 5 cm from the lower edge and spaced vertically by 5 cm. No marking should interfere with these bands, under penalty of non-compliance with the standard, which requires 360° visibility. The promotional yellow vest is offered in sizes ranging from S to 5XL, with a straight unisex cut, wide armholes, and a round neckline. Some models feature a contrasting bias sewn on the edges, in rigid polyester or cotton, to reinforce the seams and prevent deformation after washing. The textile withstands up to 25 washes at 40 °C without significant alteration of color or detachment of the marking, subject to compliance with the application conditions (pressure, temperature, duration). The back customization can include a logo, text, or pictogram, with high contrast (black or dark blue on fluorescent yellow) for better readability. The standard packaging is done in a transparent individual bag, with a sewn-in label inside mentioning the CE standard, manufacturer, size, and care instructions. High-end models may include a chest pocket, a badge opening, or a name strip sewn or attached with velcro. The product weight varies between 120 and 160 grams depending on the size and structure of the reflective bands. Marking must be centered, without deformation, bubbles, or warping, even after multiple washes. A durability test can be conducted by dry abrasion (500 cycles) and drum washing to verify the durability of inks and transfers. A poorly prepared safety vest shows visible defects: misaligned logo, cracked transfer, poorly positioned or non-compliant bands. A compliant vest, on the other hand, combines visibility, dimensional stability, marking durability, and strict compliance with the daytime and nighttime visibility requirements demanded by European regulations.
