Wired headset with personalization

Customized wired earphones are compact stereo audio devices, connected to each other and to the sound source by a sheathed electrical cable, offering direct, latency-free sound reproduction, with a dedicated marking area on the storage case, sometimes on the connector or on a flat surface of the integrated microphone module. They consist of two symmetrical earbuds, usually made of molded ABS plastic or injected silicone, equipped with dynamic speakers of 10 to 15 mm in diameter, a Y-cable 1 to 1.2 meters long, and a 3.5 mm jack connector (most common), sometimes USB-C or Lightning depending on the models. The total weight is very low, between 12 and 30 g, with a flat or round cable format, in PVC or TPE, sometimes reinforced inside with a textile fiber or twisted insulator.

Customization is almost always applied to the hard or semi-hard case provided with the earphones, on a surface of 50 × 50 mm to 80 × 60 mm depending on the shape (round box, square, rectangular or sliding flap). Marking is done by 1 to 4 color pad printing, UV four-color printing, or doming (domed resin) for flat surfaces. Some models offer secondary marking on the connector (area of 15 × 8 mm) or on the microphone/control casing, but this option is limited in readability and rarely offered as standard. The earbuds can be button-type (to be placed in the auricle) or in-ear (with silicone tips for partial insertion into the ear), with or without a microphone/control module on the right wire. The microphone is omnidirectional, with an average sensitivity of –42 dB, compatible with phone calls and video conferences, with a single button (play/pause/answer).

Customized wired earphones are immediately operational, without pairing, without battery or configuration, and compatible with all devices equipped with an analog audio output (PCs, phones, consoles, MP3 players, etc.). Quality tests include frequency range reproduction (20 Hz – 20 kHz), absence of interference at high volume, cable resistance to 1,000 bends (180° twist test), marking durability after 300 dry rubs, and sound quality during a call or continuous music playback. Standard packaging is done in a transparent plastic box, hard case with padding, zip bag, or cardboard case with internal cutout. Replacement tips may be included on in-ear models.

A poor model quickly reveals defects such as a faulty channel, cable rubbing noises, left/right imbalance, or a too-loose connector. Conversely, well-designed customized wired earphones offer balanced sound, prolonged comfort, centered, clear, and durable marking, and simplicity of use, making them a reliable, effective, and durable communication tool in the user's daily sound environment.
