The personalized notepad is a simple yet structured writing medium, designed to be handled, consulted, annotated, and kept in a professional, academic, or event context. It consists of a variable number of sheets—usually between 25 and 100—glued at the top, bottom, or side, depending on the intended use, with a rigid cardboard base serving as support. Standard formats are A6, A5, A4, or square, but can be custom adjusted to fit a graphic charter or a logistical constraint. The paper, often 80 or 90 g/m², uncoated, is chosen to offer good writing hold, without smudging or excessive transparency, regardless of the type of pen used. Printing is done in one color or in four-color process, usually at the top or bottom of each page, sometimes with a line, a grid, a box reserved for the date, initials, or an internal code. The promotional notepad may also feature a subtle background, a graphic pattern, or a watermark integrated into each page. The cover, if any, can be soft, matte or glossy laminated, and marked in offset, screen printing, or gilding depending on the desired effect. The logo, company name, or slogan should remain visible without hindering use: writing remains central, the message is inscribed as an accompaniment. Unlike a bound notebook, the notepad is designed for temporary, immediate use, sometimes disposable, but its effectiveness relies on its continuous presence on the desk, in a meeting, at the reception of a trade show, or in a welcome pack. Some models include perforations for filing, page numbering, a sticky strip, or integrated repositionable sheets. The whole can be glued on the long or short side, with or without microperforation. The backboard ensures stability in all circumstances: taking notes standing, on the knees, or in motion. Distributed in companies, in training, during congresses, or in customer packages, the notepad becomes a discreet, functional, and omnipresent work companion. And it is in this repetition of gestures—scribbling, noting, turning, detaching, rereading—that the marking takes on its full value: non-intrusive, but always there, associated with action and idea.
