Customized textiles, especially clothing, require a precise approach where the material, cut, marking technique, and final appearance must align without approximation. T-shirt, polo, sweatshirt, or softshell: each piece imposes its constraints, possibilities, and also limits. The weight, for example, is not chosen randomly: 150 g/m² for lightness, 180 to 190 g for balance, 280 g and more for durability and resistance over time. Cotton, combed or semi-combed, ring-spun or open-end, immediately defines the texture to the touch, the quality of the surface for marking, and the absorption capacity. Polyester, often used alone or in blends, offers color stability, wash resistance, and an ideal base for sublimation on white textile. The cuts vary: fitted, straight, tubular, tailored, round or V-neck — every detail counts, as each garment must adapt to the body and not the other way around. The manufacturing also determines durability: side seams, double stitching, neck tape, or ribbed finishes on the sleeves enhance comfort and fit. Textile printing, whether screen printing, transfer, embroidery, or flocking, is chosen not only according to the expected visual result but also the medium, quantities, and the level of detail of the visual. Embroidery, noble and textured, enhances simple logos on a dense surface, while screen printing excels in durable flat colors on cotton. Transfer, flexible and quick, allows for finer details on complex areas. Each promotional garment, essentially, is a balance between identity, comfort, and repeated use. It is neither neutral nor fleeting: it visually embodies a presence, it spans seasons, it withstands washing, it becomes part of the wardrobe, often beyond the initial intention. The color, contrast, and position of the marking — chest, heart, back, sleeve — must resonate with the nature of the message or the context of use. Nothing is decorative: everything is functional, designed to last. And when a customized sweatshirt, for example, becomes the one you put on out of habit, kept for travels, for cool evenings, or impromptu trips, then the object has achieved its goal. Not just to convey a brand, but to embody it, almost despite itself.
