The customized reusable cup is a simple-looking object, but its design and customization require great precision for both technical and regulatory reasons. Usually made from injection-molded polypropylene (PP), sometimes in Tritan™ or copolyester for high-end translucent versions, it must comply with strict food contact standards, free of BPA and taste migration. The conical shape, standardized for stacking, requires curved marking, with a usable area defined by the curvature and filling height: on a 25 cl model (30 cl to the brim), the usable marking height generally does not exceed 60 mm, with a width following a precise arc, without overlapping the edges or spilling over the bottom. The printing is often done in direct screen printing from 1 to 5 colors, or in UV digital four-color process for complex visuals; however, the latter requires a perfectly smooth and matte surface, free of micro-scratches. A white underlay is necessary for translucent cups to prevent the design from getting lost in the material. Some models accept laser engraving for a discreet, tone-on-tone, indelible finish, particularly on frosted or mass-tinted plastic cups. The marking must withstand industrial washing: it is therefore tested to endure up to 300 dishwasher cycles at 60°C without visible alteration. The optional interior or exterior graduation meets the requirements of regulated bars and events, with precise markers (10, 15, 25 cl) often molded into the material. The bottom must be flat or slightly domed for proper drainage during washing, with an anti-splash rim around the edge. The advertising reusable cup, due to its collective use, demands consistent quality: no molding defects, no sharp edges, no poorly centered marking. If it is opaque, it must be dense and uniform; if it is transparent, it must not turn whitish after a few washes. Beyond printing, it's the silence in use — no odor, no leakage, no fragility — that ensures its preservation. And if the logo remains clear, well visible after months, then the cup stays in the hand, in the bag, on the table.
