The customized flashlight is directly printed on the cylinder, often made of anodized aluminum, sometimes of injected ABS, via fine laser engraving or high-durability UV printing. The placement of the marking is generally done on the flat area, below the power button or opposite the lens, depending on visual balance. The diameter varies from 16 to 32 mm depending on the models, with standard lengths ranging from 9 to 14 cm. The beam, delivered by an SMD or COB type LED, can reach between 40 and 180 lumens depending on the embedded power. Power supply is most often provided by AAA batteries, sometimes CR2032 for mini formats, or via an integrated lithium 18650 battery rechargeable via micro-USB or USB-C port, protected by a silicone cover. The button, made of soft rubber or smooth ABS, is placed at the back or on the side, depending on whether tactical use or domestic comfort is favored. On multi-function models, a secondary button allows switching to strobe, SOS, or low intensity mode. The body may incorporate a grooved grip, a non-slip band, or a silicone sleeve. The protection rating from IPX4 to IPX7, often indicated, ensures resistance to splashes or even temporary immersion. Some versions include a braided nylon strap, a key ring, or a stainless steel clip, riveted on the tube. The average weight, empty, ranges from 40 to 120 grams. Inside, the battery holder is sometimes molded in one piece, with polarity indicated, to avoid errors during replacement. The lens is made of polycarbonate or tempered glass, depending on the range. The reflector, smooth or textured, influences the beam diffusion: narrow for long-range models, wider for proximity uses. The flashlight body can be disassembled for maintenance or battery replacement, with a double-threaded seal and an O-ring to ensure water tightness. Some models display a charge indicator with a tricolor LED, others a simple flashing red light. Available colors range from matte black to metallic red, including electric blue or satin silver, always with anti-scratch coating. The advertising marking remains clear with use if manufacturing conditions are rigorously respected: engraving depth, ink density, contrast choice. The beam lights up instantly without preheating, with a diffusion angle measured between 15° and 45° depending on the head. Autonomy ranges between 2 and 10 hours depending on the intensity and the selected mode. In case of USB recharge, the average charging time varies between 1h30 and 3h. The port location is often under a cap, screwed or clipped, to prevent any infiltration. Some models integrated into emergency kits or vehicle equipment have a window breaker or seatbelt cutter, molded in the extension of the handle. Others magnetize onto a metal surface thanks to a base integrated into the tail cap. High-quality suppliers guarantee an LED lifespan exceeding 50,000 ignition cycles. A poorly designed customized flashlight is immediately noticeable: overheating after a few minutes, button sticking, lens play, lack of seal, or body misalignment when screwing. Each poorly adjusted technical element detracts from the whole. The ideal model stands on a slightly inclined plane without rolling, does not heat up during prolonged use, remains stable when lit, and visible without flickering. The logo remains centered, aligned, and intact after multiple uses. These precise details should guide the choice of model, not a flattering shape or color.
